CARBON COUNTY, Utah — A driver was killed after colliding with a semi-truck early Tuesday morning near Helper in Carbon County.
The crash happened on State Route 6 at milepost 228 between a van and a semi-truck, officials tell FOX 13 News.
Utah Highway Patrol later reported a semi-truck was pulling double trailers westbound when a vehicle, traveling eastbound crossed over into oncoming traffic and hit the truck.
The sole occupant of the car was pronounced dead, UHP said.
The driver of the semi-truck was treated at the scene for minor injuries and released.
Eastbound traffic was temporarily diverted as an investigation and clean-up in the area commenced.
The identity of the person who died was not immediately made available as officials work to notify next of kin.
